Superior Energy Services – a global oil and gas service provider - has a strong and growing international presence, with operations in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, South America, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and North America. As a result of our continued growth, we are seeking a talented professional to lead our HR activities in the Asia Pacific region. The HR Business Partner will establish an initial HR infrastructure to deliver key HR services and activities that align with the corporate operating model for supporting global operations.

Your role will be to:
Country Assessments
- Develop country specific assessments of employment laws and other country and local regulations.
- Determine availability of labour.
- Assist with development of processes to bring people into the country and establish operations.
- Develop and implement a project plan for delivering key HR services and activities.
Delivery of HR Services
- Develop an inventory of all country employment laws and other compliance requirements
- Evaluate Staff Manual and employee handbook practices and determine alignment with the U.S. corporate policy manual
- Identify and develops labor pools for each country and region with current operations and proactive identification of potential pools for targeted geographic expansion areas
- Understand the compensation and benefit trends
o Implement a strategy to confirm compliance with all country employment laws o Delivery of sourcing and recruiting efforts o Implement standardized key hire to retire processes to the extent permitted by country laws and practices o Implementing compensation and benefit program delivery processes including the building compensation structures as appropriate and payroll o Implements a consistent performance management approach that sets expectations for all employees and provides developmental opportunities that are in line with the growth objectives of the company o Recommend talent management frameworks including Leader development programs o Integrate the HR technology approach (NuView) to provide consistency in employee information and the ability to measure compliance with all local laws o Utilize existing vendors for immigration and other mobility core processes
- Work with Operations to plan workforce needs
- Work with the Corporate HR Center of Expertise to provide core HR Services:
You will report to the VP Corporate HR - helping business unit leaders to identify, prioritize and build organisational capabilities, behaviours, structures and processes Successful candidates will have substantial experience of working in a similar role on an international basis – ideally within the oil and gas sector.
