Our client is a fully-fledged provider of EPC field development projects as well as engineering, technologies, solutions and services for the upstream oil and gas industry. Their range of offerings include deep-water drilling technologies, subsea oil and gas production systems, well services, mooring and offloading systems, well stream processing technologies, as well as life-of-field solutions through its maintenance, modification and operations business. They are also a dedicated EPC contractor for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.

They are now looking to add one more Project Managers to their on-going operations on Batam in Indonesia.

As Project Manager you will lead a team of inter-department personnel, including interface with the relevant workshops, in ensuring that the projects under his/her control will be carried out as per the Master Schedule, customer requirement or changes, on time delivery requirements, and within budget while complying with system and procedure without compromising HSE.

Review incoming projects to ensure customer requirements are all understood and can be met with the lead time and budget allocated.

Responsible for generating the project plan to meet customer delivery and quality requirement without compromising HSE.

Arrange and chair kick off meetings as and when necessary to ensure everyone involved understands the project schedule and requirements and get the commitments from relevant department to ensure that the projects will be delivered on time.

Conduct regular Project Team meetings to align personnel from relevant departments, highlight key points in assigned projects, get updates and commitments from Project Team and other department members.

Organize ad-hoc meetings as and when required to keep the projects on track or to activate changes on the projects.

Review projects status on regular basis and trigger actions for elevation and/or expediting.

Responsible for tracking and updating project progress on a daily basis and see opportunities to deliver the projects ahead of schedule.

Ensure that customer requirements on documentations, inspection reports and manual/rig book are met in a timely manner.

Review order change request to see the impact in term of cost and lead time and respond to sales accordingly.

Propose alternative solutions to solve projects issues or to accommodate project change request.

For each assigned project, coordinate the activities for and act as an interface with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality, HSE, and any other relevant department.

Coordinate Third Party Inspections and Pre-Shipment Inspections.

Ensure that third party inspection is done as per the requirement in Quality Inspection and Test Plan agreed by customer.

Ensure that equipment readiness for stack up tests is complete and in the appropriate quantity (sets).

Ensure that stack up test is performed as per customer request and be the host during the stack up tests witnessed by customers.

Review and approve costing proposal for refurbishment orders

Make decisions on cost within his/her authority limit to keep the projects on track.

Ensure that the projects will be delivered and invoiced on time and within budget.

Compile and submit all relevant project reports.

Use SAP and other tools as required ensuring all relevant data is up to date and accurate on each assigned project.

Communicate project progress to Sales.

As Project Manager in Batam you will require the following experience:

You will need a Minimum S1 in mechanical or industrial engineering or D3 in mechanical or industrial engineering with 3-5 years’ experience in project management.

You will be able to read engineering drawings and engineering data sheets.

You will be proficient in Microsoft Project and MS Office.

You will be proficient in API Q1 latest edition, API product specifications 6A, 16A and 17D.

You will have a strong experience with project management tools and methods.

You will be able to use SAP as user to update and gain access to information.

You will be able to guide and lead Project Team in activities that achieve the project goals.

You will have a good command of English both written and spoken.
