National Universities Liaison and Civil Society Coordinator – Jakarta, Indonesia –

Long Term Assignment – Australia Indonesia Partnership for

Health Systems Strengthening (AIPHSS) - AusAID

We are recruiting for an Universities Liaison and Civil Society Coordinator for an anticipated AusAID funded Health Systems Strengthening program in Indonesia. The key responsibilities include:

On direction from the PMU, commission research and analysis in coordination with the NIHRD on health financing and workforce issues;

Under the direction of AusAID and the Ministry of Health, support government-to-government activities in line with the Plan of Action agreed by respective Australian and Indonesian Ministries of Health;

Work with civil society to increase their influence for improvement of health services for the poor in Indonesia. Assist in the development of efficient and transparent mechanisms which can link civil society with and to the actions of government, traditional authorities, and private enterprise; and

Monitor and evaluate the performance of host organisations in accordance with established monitoring and evaluation processes and indicators.

You will ideally demonstrate…..

University degree, combined with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Demonstrated health systems expertise, in particular in the fields of health financing and human resources for health, and health planning, budgeting and management in decentralised health care systems.

Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with training providers.

Experience in supporting and assessing policy research institutions and networks and research communication.

Experience in supporting civil society organisations’ engagement in health policy processes and accountability of health offices and health care providers.

Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with training providers.

Strong administrative and organisational skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a cross cultural, multi-disciplinary team.
